Not for the faint boweled, Ultra Brutal marks out Schadenfreude's territory sort of like a drunk man in a phone box, and then, like that drunk man, collapses into its own foul pool only to wake later and go of in search of special brew, and be sick...
But don't let this analogy make you think this record is a drunken, incoherent miasma, far from it. Its structure although sometimes seemingly impenetrable is a rich tapestry of audio delights carefully generated and recorded for the utmost fidelity, whilst retaining that raw emotion that defines all truly great music, and makes Schadenfreude so beguiling.'
